Vamp Mesh Upper

An improved vamp mesh upper construction is included in the composition of the Superior 6 Trail Shoes making them a breathable, comfortable shoe. The materials keep you cool and ready to tackle the trail, even during the more intense periods of your run. Micro perforations allow heat and vapour to escape while encouraging fresh air to enter and circulate for a pleasant cooling sensation. This keeps feet feeling fresh and comfortable so you can stay focused. Lightweight, durable quarter panel overlays reinforce the shoe, making them abrasion resistant and protecting the foot from sharp rocks and debris you might encounter on the trail. The Standard FootShape toe box provides room for natural toe flex, giving you greater stability and comfort. Additionally, a traditional lace-up construction keeps feet securely within the shoes, preventing in-shoe slippage from occurring.

Altra EGO Midsole

The Superior 6 features an EGO midsole that adds cushioning and flexibility ideal for trail running. Maintaining the same stack height of 21mm as its predecessors, Altra has increased the cushioning and durability of the midsole when it comes to the latest versions of the Superiors. The midsoles construction provides the shoe with extremely responsive rebound and cushioning, as well as the standard EVA that protects your feet and improves rebound. The cushioning sits directly underneath the foot, which reduces ground impact, returning the energy as a spring for each step that you take. Due to Altra's Balanced Cushioning technology, the feet sit on the midsole on a zero-drop platform, meaning the heel and the forefoot are the same distance from the ground, encouraging proper low-impact form throughout your trail run.

MAXTRAC Outsole

Completing the Altra Superior 6 is a MaxTrac rubber outsole. Combining sticky grip and traction with incredible durability the MaxTrac rubber outsole will have you navigating the trickiest of terrain with ease as it grips and sticks like a boss. Canted TrailClaw lugs strategically placed along the metatarsal provide additional traction for confident and powerful toe-offs.
